Anees Zaka -- Church Without Walls

Dr. Anees Zaka is the founder and director of Church Without Walls (a ministry of the Presbyterian Church in America) and founder and president of the Biblical Institute for Islamic Studies. He came from the Middle East to the United States in 1982 to have a ministry with Muslims who have emigrated here. He has done extensive research on Islam and has spent many years ministering to Muslims both in North America and overseas. His approach is to meet with the Muslim people for “Meetings for Better Understanding”,  where Biblical and Koranic topics are discussed in a friendly way.

He loves to come alongside pastors and church leaders to mentor, encourage and teach, equipping them for Gospel centered ministry and serving the Lord more effectively.

Oakley Pate -- Mission to the World

Since he was young, Oakley has loved Japan and the Japanese language. He never really knew why this was the case, but during his university years, Oakley felt the call to minister in Japan. Now, through MTW, Oakley will be serving at Covenant Community School International in Chiba, Japan, as an intern for 11 months to help raise students in the faith, minister at nearby church plants, lead devotions with students, teach various subjects, and work to expand God’s kingdom.  Please pray for God’s leading in this endeavor, that God will use Oakley to bless the families there, and that Japan will receive the gospel.
